Wedderburn Castle is the perfect location for your Scottish castle wedding. The castle provides a magnificent space for weddings for up to 80 guests with accommodation for up to 26 guests. Wedderburn Barns are a rustic party venue for use with or without the castle and can host up to 150 guests.
At Wedderburn Castle wedding ceremonies and receptions can take place in any of the four elegant reception rooms, outdoors on the castle lawns or in the rustic Georgian barns. There are also several historic churches nearby. Civil, humanist, religious and interfaith wedding ceremonies are all welcomed.
Your Wedding
In the castle, the light, spacious Ballroom is a romantic space to hold your wedding ceremony. Up to 80 guests can be comfortably seated, while more intimate parties might choose the elegant stair hall or the Drawing Room for the ceremony. The magnificent Dining Room is perfect for your wedding banquet. All reception rooms at Wedderburn will be available for your guests to enjoy throughout their visit, whether relaxing with drinks or catching up over coffee.
For larger parties or for a more rustic ambience, the barns can be used for ceremonies for up to 150. The barns consist of two principal spaces: the Cartshed for ceremonies, dancing, ceilidhs and bands, and the Provender Barn for dining. The airy, atmospheric rooms are lit with wrought iron chandeliers above the rustic wooden beams.
The castle's wedding planners can provide you with unlimited practical advice on arranging both your wedding ceremony and reception party. Food and drink is overseen by a panel of approved caterers who have been selected for their excellent food and professionalism. A wide variety of dining options is available.
As Wedderburn Castle is your exclusive-use 'home away from home' your schedule and choice of entertainment is not limited by the presence of other guests. Pipers, bands and any other entertainments are welcomed, and the Ballroom is an ideal place for a ceilidh or dance.
The 80 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens and parkland provide many excellent photo opportunities.
Accommodation
The 12 unique castle bedrooms can sleep up to 26 guests. Spacious, light and elegant, every room is different with many original period features and fabulous views over the castle grounds and Berwickshire countryside. All are en-suite or have private bathrooms. Additional accommodation can be recommended locally.

Location
Wedderburn Castle is located in Berwickshire in the Scottish Borders. The market town of Duns is less than two miles away, with Berwick-upon-Tweed and Kelso also close by. Edinburgh is an hour’s drive away, Glasgow just under two hours.
