Christmas Eve
- Begin your festive stay with afternoon tea on arrival;
- Enjoy a full day of seasonal activities for all ages;
- In the evening sip welcome drinks and savour canapés before sitting down to a sumptuous five-course dinner, accompanied by live piano music in true castle elegance.
Christmas Day
- Start the day with a hearty breakfast, and a visit from Father Christmas bearing gifts for the younger guests;
- Stroll the estate on the festive brass rubbing trail and soak in the crisp Dartmoor air;
- The revelry begins with a Champagne and canapé reception, then feast on a decadent five-course Christmas lunch in the Great Western Grill, serenaded by the resident harpist;
- It wouldn’t be Christmas without the King’s speech, so settle in with a warming cup of tea and a mince pie;
- A relaxed buffet dinner will be served in the evening to round off your Christmas day.
Boxing Day
- After breakfast, join in the fun with a friendly golf tournament, or embark on a treasure hunt around the castle and grounds;
- Cheer on the ever-popular ferret racing and try your hand at the ‘nearest the pin’ golf competition on the South Terrace, with a hot chocolate or mulled wine in hand;
- Family-friendly activities are available throughout the day;
- Indulge in a savoury and sweet afternoon tea served with live entertainment in the lounge, and enjoy a high tea for younger guests;
- End the day in style with a cocktail reception and lavish six-course dinner in the Great Western Grill (cocktail dresses and lounge suits encouraged), followed by festive fun in the pop-up casino!
27 December
- Enjoy a final full English breakfast before saying fond farewells, and taking with you unforgettable memories of a truly magical Christmas at Bovey Castle.
