New Year's Eve at the castle is an evening of pure indulgence, where sparkling Champagne flows, elegant gowns twirl, and the air is filled with anticipation. The night dazzles with timeless glamour and joyful celebration, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display lighting up the skies above the estate.

The castle offers the perfect backdrop for a glamorous farewell to the year gone by, and a dazzling start to the one ahead.

New Year's Eve

• Arrive to a delightful afternoon tea served in one of the beautiful lounges, accompanied by the gentle melodies of a harpist;
• As evening falls, dress for a glamorous Black-Tie celebration. The festivities begin with a Champagne cocktail and canapé reception, heralded by the stirring sounds of a traditional piper. Savour an exquisite six-course gala dinner in the Great Western Grill, before dancing the night away to live music until 1 am;
• At the stroke of midnight, gather on the South Terrace to marvel at a dazzling firework display and toast the New Year with a glass of Champagne beneath the stars.

Please note children must be aged 10 years or over to attend the New Year’s Eve dinner.

New Year's Day

• After the excitement of the night before, enjoy a leisurely brunch to start the first day of the year in relaxed style;
• Embrace the crisp Dartmoor air with a guided walk, take part in the castle and grounds treasure hunt, or join the friendly golf tournament;
• In the afternoon, indulge in a savoury and sweet afternoon tea, complete with magical entertainment from the resident magician;
• The celebrations continue with much-loved ferret racing and a ‘nearest the pin’ golf competition on the South Terrace. Family activities will be available throughout the day;
• As evening approaches, join the team for a cocktail reception before sitting down to a five-course New Year’s Day dinner in the Great Western Grill, accompanied by a pianist.

2 January

• Enjoy a hearty full English breakfast before bidding farewell and stepping into the year ahead feeling refreshed and inspired.
