Lumley Castle stands as one of England's most distinctive castle hotels, its imposing towers, battlements and grand halls steeped in over 600 years of history. Built in 1389 by Sir Ralph Lumley following his campaigns on the Scottish borders, the castle provides a magnificent and atmospheric setting for a truly unforgettable Christmas celebration.
This festive season, guests are invited to step through the castle gates and enter a world of gallant knights, gracious ladies, candlelit halls and medieval merriment.
The evening begins with a dramatic bagpipe welcome upon arrival before guests are immersed in the world of the Lords and Ladies of the Court. Singing, music, humour and festive entertainment are presented by the Court Chamberlain, Herald, Musicians and Ladies of the Court, all dressed in traditional costume.
A magnificent five-course medieval banquet follows, accompanied by wine and mead, with a DJ and disco rounding off the celebrations.
Overnight accommodation in a luxurious castle bedroom and a full English breakfast the following morning complete this memorable experience.
