Lumley Castle is a magnificent 14th-century castle hotel in County Durham, offering a truly atmospheric setting for a night to remember. This Christmas, the castle invites guests to step into a world of festive intrigue with an immersive murder mystery evening experience.
The story centres on the fictional Lord Spinner Webbe, found dead before a roaring fire at Riddle Hall, with a torn letter and a knife the only clues left behind. Guests become part of the investigation, piecing together clues, questioning suspicious characters and attempting to uncover the killer before the evening draws to a close.
The experience begins with a glass of Prosecco on arrival, followed by a three-course Christmas dinner and fully interactive murder mystery entertainment. Once the killer is revealed, the evening transforms into a festive disco, continuing until 1 am. Guests then retire to a luxurious castle bedchamber, with a full English breakfast awaiting them the following morning.
The package is available on selected Fridays throughout December 2026.
