Hi, I’m Amy, Copywriter for Celtic Castles. My aim is to create descriptive, engaging and accurate content that brings each property’s character to life whilst strengthening the brand’s distinctive voice. I also create inspiration articles, with input from the rest of the team, to offer ideas, stories and practical suggestions that help visitors discover unique castle stays. Additionally, I source and enter relevant industry awards to help showcase the quality and recognition of our properties.
My Most Memorable Castle Experiences
My most memorable castle experience was visiting Newhall Estate in winter; a beloved family home full of heritage, character and unique style. As soon as we were welcomed through the door I could feel its warmth and charm. Wandering through Newhall’s walled garden felt peaceful, and being close to the ancient trees was humbling, highlighting the owners’ commitment to sustainability—over 20 years, they have planted more than 200 acres of woodland.
Afternoon Tea at Blairquhan Castle was a real treat, featuring a variety of freshly made sandwiches and delicious pastries. Sitting in the beautifully decorated Drawing Room and gazing through bay windows at the sunlit, manicured lawn felt like a true Downton Abbey moment.
My Other Interests
Beyond castles, I love the theatre, visiting stately homes and being out in the countryside.
