"It Started Out as a Joke About Getting Married in a Castle in Europe"

Brittany and Daniel contacted us in early 2025, discovering our website after wondering whether it's really possible to have a castle wedding in Europe. After browsing some of the available wedding venues, Belle Isle Castle stood out to them. Since they were planning their wedding from overseas, we put them in touch with Amy, the wedding coordinator at Belle Isle, who arranged a virtual tour and walked them through every detail of what a wedding there would involve.

Virtual tours are now offered at most of our properties and are a great way for couples who are travelling from overseas and may not be able to visit beforehand to get a feel for the property. It's definitely worth arranging a virtual tour if you like the look of a castle! It's also a perfect opportunity to speak directly with the wedding coordinator and ask any questions you may have.

Their wedding took place in July 2026, and afterwards they shared this lovely reflection with us:

"Our wedding at Belle Isle was simply amazing. What started out as a joke about getting married in a castle in Europe, to me finding Belle Isle through the Celtic Castles website and quickly figuring out that having a wedding in a castle was actually feasible, to planning a wedding in Northern Ireland and having the best time of our lives there, was truly amazing.

Amy, our coordinator at Belle Isle, was so helpful in recommending vendors and planning our stay. All of the staff were amazing, and my family still talks about all the jokes that were had with the bartender. I have a gluten allergy, and the staff were knowledgeable and accommodated my diet so easily.

We are so thankful for our experience there, and we hope to renew our vows there for our 10-year anniversary."
