Newhall House is a stunning Scottish Baronial home, rich in history and character. The surrounding estate is perfectly located for guests to unwind and enjoy the magnificent rural area, and is just on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

Whether you’d like to hold your ceremony in the Sunroom, walled garden or newly refurbished Coach House, Newhall offers a relaxing setting for any kind of wedding. The estate is an impeccable venue for any taste, weather condition, and style.
The estate is also a licensed venue for both civil and religious ceremonies. Choose the perfect ceremony, or take inspiration from your surroundings and blend traditional and modern elements into one unique day.
The Coach House, with capacity for up to 150 people for dinner, serves as a great venue space and is the most recently converted addition to the estate.
Newhall House has accommodation for 30 people, while three self-contained cottages, all within a two-minute walk from the main house, offer a range of welcoming rooms for 11 of your closest friends and family.
At the heart of the house, lies the bridal suite. Whether to imagine it filled with your nearest and dearest on the morning of your special day, or to envisage it with the fire roaring for the first night of your wedded life, please come in and soak up the warmth and magic!
The estate is home to a collection of natural features, from waterfalls and caves to the surrounding woodland. The exquisite gardens, originally built in 1796, are still tended to by the family. Each season brings a new character to the grounds and often a fresh perspective to explore.
Complete your wedding day with luscious artisan floral arrangements. Each flower is grown on the estate by the family and provided through their involvement with the 'Flowers from the Farm' initiative.

Newhall Estate offers a beautiful, exclusive-use setting for your wedding, with a two-night, self-catered stay giving you complete freedom to plan a celebration that’s personal to you.
As a Guide:
- Low season midweek dates - £14,500.
- High season weekend dates - £17,000.
Prices are based on a two-night, self-catered stay and include exclusive use of the estate and on-site accommodation. Catering is arranged separately and is an additional cost – couples can choose from a list of trusted caterers provided by the estate.
Please note, that only midweek dates remain available in 2026 - booking early is advised at Newhall Estate.
