Standing on the shores of Loch Shiel, Glenfinnan House Hotel enjoys a truly exceptional Highland setting. Across the water lies the National Trust for Scotland monument to Bonnie Prince Charlie, with Ben Nevis visible in the distance and the iconic Glenfinnan Viaduct - famed for its appearance in the Harry Potter films - just a short walk away through the estate, where red deer are often seen grazing.

This distinguished Scottish country house, a fine stone mansion dating back to 1755, is reached via one of Scotland’s most scenic journeys, driving from Glasgow, along Loch Lomond and through Glencoe, or by train to Glenfinnan station, only a ten-minute walk from the hotel.

Public rooms include a comfortable drawing room, a beautifully appointed dining room and a welcoming bar, where traditional music is often enjoyed. Guests are greeted in the hall by a roaring log fire, while pine-panelled walls display an atmospheric collection of paintings, including depictions of the 1745 Jacobite Rising at Glenfinnan.
