Cringletie New Year Package 2026

Welcome the New Year in timeless style at Cringletie House, a magnificent Victorian Baronial mansion set amid the rolling countryside of the Scottish Borders, just 20 miles south of Edinburgh. With its warm hospitality, roaring fires, and beautifully decorated interiors, Cringletie House offers a truly memorable setting for a traditional Hogmanay house party.

The thirteen individually styled bedrooms combine period charm with luxurious comfort, many enjoying sweeping views across frosted grounds and winter landscapes. Here, Hogmanay is celebrated as it should be, elegantly, generously and with a touch of Highland magic.

30 December 2026

• Arrivals from 3 pm welcomed with a traditional cream tea served in the Maguire Lounge;
• From 6.30 pm, Champagne & canapés are served in the Garden Room;
• At 7.30 pm, dine in the Sutherland Restaurant and enjoy the Chef's seven-course tasting menu.

New Year's Eve

• Enjoy a leisurely Scottish Breakfast served in the Sutherland Restaurant from 8 am to 10 am;
• From 11 am, delight in a Birds of Prey experience with the expert team from Elite Falconry;
• Traditional afternoon tea is served in the Maguire Lounge between 1.30 pm and 3.30 pm;
• Later in the afternoon, prepare for the evening's celebrations with a Ceilidh Dance Class by Sheila Sapkota;
• At 7 pm, join the team in the Garden Room for a pre-dinner Kir Royale followed by a splendid Hogmanay dinner in the Sutherland Restaurant;
• The evening continues with lively Ceilidh dancing in the Conservatory, featuring the Riddell Fiddles Ceilidh Band;
• Welcome in 2027 with a wee dram and the stirring sound of the house piper, before dancing continues until 1am.

New Year's Day

• From 10 am, enjoy Cringletie's relaxed festive brunch in the Sutherland Restaurant;
• Later in the morning, take part in the 'Taste of the Borders' cookery demonstration in the Conservatory;
• Spend the afternoon outdoors with archery and air rifle shooting on the lawn, accompanied by mulled wine, hot chocolate, and sweet treats;
• At 6.30 pm, gather in the Garden Room for a Champagne reception, followed by a New Year's Day gala dinner in the Sutherland Restaurant, accompanied by harpist, Charlotte Petersen.
