Christmas Eve

• Arrivals from 3 pm, welcomed with a traditional cream tea in the Maguire Lounge;
• Gather from 6.30 pm in the Garden Room to meet fellow guests over a glass of Champagne and Scottish canapés;
• At 7.30 pm, dine in the Sutherland Restaurant and enjoy a beautifully crafted seven-course tasting menu.

Christmas Day

• From 8 am, a full Scottish festive breakfast with Buck's Fizz, will be served in the Sutherland Restaurant;
• The morning is yours to enjoy at leisure, perhaps a gentle walk, a quiet game, or time by the fire.

Activity options include:

A stroll along the hotel's Nature & Historical Trail (map provided)
Board games in the Conservatory
Croquet or the putting green
Outdoor chess or boules in the Walled Garden

• Christmas lunch, the centrepiece of the day, is served between 12.30 pm and 3 pm in the Sutherland Restaurant, accompanied by harpist Charlotte Peterson;
• A light supper buffet will be served in the Conservatory for those who wish to continue the celebrations.

Boxing Day

• Wake up to a festive brunch in the Sutherland Restaurant;
• At 12.30 pm, enjoy the 'Taste of the Borders' cookery demonstration in the Conservatory;
• Spend the afternoon outdoors with archery and air rifle shooting on the lawn, warmed by mulled wine, hot chocolate, and sweet treats;
• At 6.30 pm, gather in Garden Room for the Gathering of the Clan featuring a specially created 'Scottish Hills' cocktail, followed by a traditional Burns Supper in the Sutherland Restaurant. The castle's resident piper will deliver the Address to the Haggis, accompanied by a wee dram;
• Kick up your heels and dance into the evening in the Conservatory with the Riddell Fiddles Ceilidh Band.

27 December
